Mafia 2 Remake Idea

Map:
- Empire Bay renamed to realistic city name
- add 2 or 3 new districts make others a bit bigger without destroying the stuructre of the city
- add a countryside and Birkland (town)
- in the countryside there should be a racing track (not the one from Mafia 1), the prison, villages, a forest, a lake, farms, cornfields, mountains and a river....
- all buildings you could enter in the Story and DLC should be open to enter

Buildings
- different cloths shops (cheap - expensive) specific like hut or shoe shops
- more restaurants like Vitos Pizzeria or The Red Dragon Chinese Restaurant
- new Bars with minigames like bilard or darts (like in GTA4)
- Kiosks (can buy newspapers, cigaretts, cigars....)
- Activities ( Stripclub, Kingston Baseball Stadium, Bowling, Fightclub, Chicken and Dog Betting, Cinema with real 40s and 50s movies .... )
- Juwelry Stores and Banks to rob
- Policestation, Firebrigade, Hospitel.... (excepable)
- other shops like Maxwells Supermarket, West Side Mall, Forniture Shop, Diamond Motors Carshop, Rickys Records (music shop)
- Roccos Barbashop (beard and haircut)
- Hotels and Motels were you can live (Empire Arms Hotel or the cut Hotel)
- Farmacy where you can buy painkillers (food and drinks are only for stamina)
- Metro and Trainstations for using public transport
- other buildings: lighhouse, observatory, parking garage, church, Empire Bay Building ...
- Charlies Service Station to tune only sportscars for the races (legal and illegal)
- 2 new carshops one for motorcycles other for Hot Rod
- in Diamond Motors you can buy rare european cars

Vehicles
- manuell and automatic
- normal and simulator
- new camera more far away and cockpit
- new tuning like new headlights, brakes, designs, wheels, km/h display, horn, seats, steringwheels, colors and more parts in general
- new vehicles like boats, bikes, motorcycles, long trucks, old Mafia 1 and 3 cars that fit into the timeperiode (older cars in poor districts) and new 40s and 50s cars
- new repair types (one simple only wheels and motor/ one normal no perfict paintjob doors can have another color/ one perfect all on maximum)
- you can put a gas can into your trunk and put the fuel into the car on the go
- you can repair wheels on the go
- different races 1/4 mile, drift .... Hot Rod, Racer, Motorcycles ...
- normal garages only place for one car( can also park on street or parking house (more risky)
- boats can also have a garage or a berth
- with a sign to a taxidriver or waiting at a bus stop you can use public transport
- more different vehicles driving around like highwaypatrol, older policecars, ambulance, firefighters .....
- more driving rules like a red traffic light

Weapons
- if you reload to fast you loose the ammu (like in Mafia1)
- melee weapons like knifes, baseballbet, brassknuckels....
- can learn new fighting technics like kung fu, boxing or just workout in the gym
- you can only carry around 2 small weapons and one big the rest needs to be stored in the trunk or at your house
- you can buy in Guiseppes shop a LTC weapon lisence
- can shoot out of cars
- you can install LMGs on the back of Vans or Pickups and shoot the enemys from there
- new weapons: Browning M1919A6, BAR, new revolvers, Side-by-Side Shotgun, Sten, M1 Carabine, Springfield M1903, a rifle from the late 19th century
- you can upgrate your weapons in Guiseppes shop ( Thomson M1928A1 a 100 drum mag, M1A1 Thomson 20 rounds or 30 rounds stick mag, M1911 extended mag and suppressor, M3 Grease gun supppressor, Side-by-side sawed of barrel or hunting long barrel, sniperrifles like the M1 Garand, K98k or Springfield can get a scope)
- only small weapons can be hiddn
- you shoot better with weaponclasses you have use more often like SMG or Shotgun

Other Updates
- new policeunits: dogs, snipers(Springfield M1903), armoured (like in Supermarket Joes Adventures), highwaypatol, sheriff (countryside), undercover... (different cars)
- change of Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn
- you can swim; fish; jump and climb on buildings, ledders...
- respect system
- police more intelegent (if your car is very remarkable you will be discovered faster)
- some more missions in the Story so the one we see in the 2 cutscenes
- real openworld with sidemissions like shown on the Gamescom 2009
- at a payphone you can phone a ammu truck, a driver or mafia support ( high respect requert and not that fast like in Mafia 3)

DLCs
- Joes Adventures the same like in the 2010 version but with cutscenes the secound part of the story shows Joes live after Mafia 2 and before the actions of Mafia 3
- Jimmys Betrayl and Vendetta are one DLC(more cutscnes/ longer story showing more personallity/ longer timeline showing also more characters from the maingame)
- Cop DLC playing as acop starting as a normal on patrol switching to the highway patrol, sniper, specialunits and undercover against the chinese...(Henry?)


Future
Mafia 1 should be remade in the future and beeing based of Chicago. So you can connect the 2 cities in the future and travel between Empire Bay and Lost Heaven.
Then Mafia 4 should be released with the engine and feeling of Mafia 2 in the 70s Las Vegas.
Then Mafia 3 should be remade with the engine and feeling of Mafia 2. Lincoln shouldnt have that many muscles (no balck Rambo). There should be special abilities like slow mo or enemyscan. NO FAST HOLLYWOOD ACTION
Mafia 5 set in 80s Miami:)

- in Guiseppes show you can buy tools for buying specific cars that a big lock that are not typical in the US (simular to Mafia 1 expansive and european cars)
- change license plate color (like we see at the side in tuningshop in Mafia 2)
- new tuning like new headlights, brakes, designs, wheels, km/h display, horn, seats, steringwheels, colors and more parts in general
- new vehicles like boats, bikes, motorcycles, long trucks, old Mafia 1 and 3 cars that fit into the timeperiode (older cars in poor districts) and new 40s and 50s cars

The other part should be about him after the end of Mafia 2 and before Mafia 3. He is out in the countryside of Empire Bay and Birkland and then travels in the late 50s and early 60s into Lost Heaven (Chicago)
- Joe also uses his own garage
- one new big missions in the printery where Joe uses a Forklift
- Jimmys Betrayl and Vendetta are one DLC(more cutscnes/ longer story showing more personallity/ longer timeline showing also more characters from the maingame)
- He also isnt using apartments from the main game he has own apartments and garages and also can buy new one in Richard Becks Realty

- Map and HUD disgned in 60s style
- Lincoln not with that much muscles maybe add a gym so he can become like that
- No slow mo, enemy scan or other gamingmainstream that destroys the realism
- Respectsystem so you unlock a driver, mechanic that brings you a car, weapontruck and backup (should search for a payphone to call them takes some time to come by)
- New DLC where Lincoln Clay is Vietnam fighting the Vietnamese Communists
- Even more 60s music
- A bigger countryside
- No filtert hat distroys the beatiful map(let it be a option)
- Many traffic laws (maybe only active on high difficulty)
- Better missionsystem


Future
First Mafia 2 Remake then Mafia 1. Then doing Mafia 4 in 70s Las Vegas, then a Mafia 3 Remake and at the end Mafia 5 in 80s Miami. Later they should go back maybe into the 20s in Texas or again 50s Los Angeles.

You should be able to travel by train, plane or ship to all cities. So from Empire Bay to Lost Heaven you can drive on your own but to New Bordeaux you can only buy a ticket in the airport, port or trainstation. You see your character travel in a cutscene.

I just love Mafia 2 and the franshise in general hope we get a great remake of any of the 3 games
