Chapter 2 bug

[Mine Turtle]

I'm upto the part where I've fought the guy to protect my sister and now have to go find Joe. But every time I get near his apartment building I get teleported into it. I can't leave and there's no way to progress the story.

I've tried verifying my files and restarting the chapter. Is there any other way to fix this?

I get teleported in Joe's apartment...

If you mean when you go up to the door and hit the button that pops up on the screen and if you are on the other side of the door you just have to go up the stairs to Joe's apartment.

No it's before I even get into the building. Once I get to the street that his apartment building is on I'll get transported into his room.

Yeah I've tried but nothing that I haven't tried yet...otherwise I just try doing what the other guy said and try to redownlad the game

Just let Steam search for game Errors in Mafia 2 or try to play the chapter again. Or try to locate the Mafia2.exe in your Harddrive C and run the game in win7 or XP mode. Of course there is no update for win10 for this game. And by the way when you have arrived Chapter 14 and you need to bring some Money to "Bruno" - dont rob the stores, just bring 4 cars to the scrap yard. because there is a huge Bug in this chapter that dont let you load Chapter 15. Im writing too much here I know.... ^^

i know this is out of context but I robbed two stores to get enough money and passed to chapter 15 without any problems maybe it is not for everyone

although i had a bug where there would be two objectives on the map, one being the actual mission and the other saying "go back to the falcon" and this objective kept on showing for the whole game after it first appeared
