I'm playing this game for 4 days now. It's fun... but to be honest: There are still lot's of things that would need to be tweakend or improved on pretty all aspects of the game.
I've heard they're working allready on a Sequel for this game and by judging the activity on the board here (very low and not a single comment or reaction from a dev so far) it seems like this game is more or less abandoned.
Very sad. I wish there would be at least mod support so you can fix stuff by yourself :/
Well, they mentioned they have "learned a lot" by making this game. Let's hope it's true and they make use of the great potential in the sequel.
Also the dev responded to a post 10 hours ago, so where are you getting they are not active on this forum? Its kind of a dead forum I doubt they check it every 2 hours lol
It's some sort of Workaround ye. But why do you have the capacity if you can't use it? Same with the big Kings Crab Ship. You can carry up to 54 traps. But since you can only haul one at a time, you can never catch them all before they rot. So the ship is never using it's full potential.
Well, then they don't care for bug reports or help requests in any way. I asked several times for help/clarification or reported bugs in the last 4 days, for example my camera glitch while gutting fish. No helpful reaction in any of those posts so far. I didn't blame or using harsh words, so that couldn't be the reason for getting ignored.
We're only able to fix major issues with our game, due to some internal changes!
For the Selfy it would be nice if you can use the barrels independent from the traps, so if one trap wasn't full you can use the remaining space in the barrel for another trap. I got the problem that my trap once got such a good catch, it didn't fit all in one barrel so I lost some of it.
Since there are rumors you're allready working on a sequel, I think we won't get anymore big content updates/changes for this game. But maybe this feedback helps for the sequel. The Game is great and fun, but really lacks a lot of Quality of Life improvements in my opinion. And there is still a lot of potential to use. Like expanding the endgame, getting your own corporation and fleet of Fishing Ships. And many more. Players allready suggested a lot of stuff. Oh and Mod Support. We really need this one. Check out Train Simulator and Farming Simulator. They become great and have a big core community due to the possibility for fans adding own stuff to the game.
You should really think about that, too :)
Regards
Both Train and Farming simulator has a decade of development, if you look at the first Farming, they had 2 tractors and 5 crops. But ofcourse we intend to keep building this series to something really nice and do a multiplayer game and eventually mod support at some point!
thank you for your answer. Yes I know both simulators got way more time to develope, so sry it was not meant as "look, they are so much better than you" it was more about point out how much the community can help with the developement by adding Mod support/Steam Workshop.
Benefits of Mod support:
- Players can help themselve = less frustration, negative feedback/reviews
- It's a source of inspiration for the developers, by checking the items in the workshop you can see what the community really wants/demands the most. Without searching the boards for hours and weeks.
So I hope you understand that I just want to mention that Mod support is not just great for the players, it offers also value and benefits for the developers. So maybe make this a little bit more priority in your next game :)
And hey, glad to hear! I'm looking forward to the Sequel! :-)
For sure, I totally undertsand your point, we got plans to look into mod support at some point down the road :)
