finally unlocked them, i clicked "yes" for the tutorial but ...
it never showed me how to do this,..
is it just a simple matter of filling job slots?

Hi. Is it the Lunar Bow you are using ? You can open the ingame wiki (upper left corner question mark) and select Fishing Tools - Trawling (Pelagic / Bottom trawling).. There you get a step by step guide.. Also more info here: https://fishingbarentssea.gamepedia.com/Fishing#Trawling

outstanding... (had to find open water LOL.... talk about ah haa moment)

this helps.... still a bit vague on exactly how to move the doors port and starbor though... but least i am catching fish now

(I cannot seem to generate depth... even at 1.0 - 2.0 knots 120m length... i can get below 85 meters depth... suckers won't sink)

i spoke too soon ...

why does the sonar track pods ... 800+m OUT! .... by the time i get there... the fish are gone

pods keep floating under the doors. dorrs @80 - 100m depth.... i let out the line 20 meters

suddenly the water dpeth shoot up from 925 to 210 and my nets bottom out.... (why can we not track the ocean floor from 800m out ..???)

i pull the nets in- and the floor drops back to 920 meters andi quickly run out thelines again to 100- 115m depth... now the pods are floating above my head

i run at 90 m deth _in the middle... sonar tracks pods again from 800m out... it is DEAD center...
at 300 meters out it is slightly off to (up /down/right/left) ...
at 100 meters .. it nearly off the map ... that's if the cross hairs do not change at 250 meters out to another one 800 meters out...

i have had them run from upper left to lower right... - all within 75 meters distance.

so we are obviously supposed to track these pods by manuvering--- yet every tutorial and youtube say ...there is no manuveriblitly to really speak of-- and there doesn't seem to be no matter what inputs i put in-... these pods troll me.. LoL and swim across the path of my nets... for hours

i am thoroughly confuse as to why the sonar tracks nearly 1 full Km out --- the fish are almost never still there
even when I do catch a pod.... they are paper thin.. rarely do i fill a 10% block - even when the radar is fully red for sometime.
sometimes i get fish ..... out of now where .... clear blue water

and is there hydrogenbomb testng going on - everyonce in a while the entire sonar gets reset (cpet for the floor) ... all fish disappear - ...
of course that happens right as i close inon a nice pod.. dead center.. and the sonar goes red... and 'BOOM!" ..... no fish

and if we are in open water... why does the bottom .. shoot up to 210 meters... at seemingly random shunts... that pop up as you track these fish pods.. 800m out.... they pop up and disappear ... before I get to the fish ??? is the ground moving? it seems to rise up and fall... and it doesn't match up with the movement of the static environment

i mean if it really is just as simple as putting the doors intot he water gaining a certain depth and waiting... i am good with that

i just thought... maybe i was missing something

the entire sonar restting as i reach a pod of fish is really annoying.... 3 hours... less then 25% cargo filled, ... 4 times... a red bar reset to a clear blue screen ... 0 fish

i get the grindy sim feel.. but - fish don't just POOF out from under a boat

im finding my trawls dont catch much after a few minutes of being at depth, but im usually getting at least 60%. i spend more time letting out and reeling in my wires than i do trawling in the hermes

aaaa ok then .... it must just be arbitrary, it isn't just me.... i found dropping line fairly close to the ice shelves pick up about 30 - 40 % on the first go

it is so crazy how fishing slows down so much once you start trawling, it kinda takesw away fromt he gameplay haveing to exit open oecean and rejoin.. just so i can catch a few pollocks,

BY the BY how does one catch mackrel... i hav eyet to catch any
