Selfy vs Sjarken

Has the Selfy made the Sjarken fully obsolete?
Its the same price and has pretty well evything plus more than the Sjarken can do, or am I missing something.

IMO the only thing the Sjarken has is the looks

It is a pretty light boat as well, so I guess that is the payoff. But currently I avoid using the Slfy because of the broken crew. I'm staying with the Sharky (at least untill the quota for it runs up).

Interestingly I havnt been getting the crew bug where people cant assign the crew after swapping from crabbing back to other setups, only had the visual glitch of showing the fish box and barrels at the same time

I have to do the Potting manually with the Selfy... Also the ship rotates on the centre point of the ship instead of the rear where the rudder is. This is why the boat is so difficult to handle, it pivots around its centre and then the physics make it pivot around its centre more because its weight / propulsion are applied in the middle of the ship. Basically got myself stuck doing doughnuts around a bouy earlier... had to use the fast travel system to straighten the boat up and stop it turning.


The Sharky is awesome though, nice to pilot and pretty decent all round.

NB: I have progressed beyond this ship already to The Large crabbing ship now. I seem to be making money really quickly, 3.5 million from a good haul the other day, game is just leaving the crab season now though so I may need a normal fishing boat for a while.

i did notice a few errors with the selfy, but regarding the crew not doing crab pots i thought that would of been in intentional due to not really needing AI to do 8 pots.

Only reason I can see of wanting the AI to do the pots is uggrading/training the crew ready for the svalbard
