@Jagermaster You can not be in the closeupview, back out with "E" and then you can seer the ship.
i know that but moving the boat doesnt affect the sonar as expected.. that is what i mean..
I see so many schools of fish passing by and i am not able to pull the boat into the direction to catch tthem..
It takes a bit of muscle to move the net. I have made 90 degree turns with the ship and raised the throttle traveling at (6 - 7) knots. and the net does move.. slowly... it won't turn on a dime.. and depending how long a line you set out. will also contribute to drag and turn radius.
You will also notice that as your draging the net in another direction the, tug from the net also tries to pull your ship back to its original course. So you will have to adjust and hold the new course longer if you want a more pronounced turn effect on the net...
Like I said.. its a slow drag...like trying to nudge a whale in a new direction.. but it does work...
Oh, and to the OP... Your spot on... Good situational awareness :)
also, since the doors are a fixed distance from the net at all times once the trawl is set the doors drop down and out and then stop halfway down the sonar display. pull the warp lines in or out will not move the doors up/down on the sonar as it is viewed from the net at the fixed distance from the net. At best if you let more line out you can raise the schools upward in the sonar view as the net drops.
the sonar btw is divided in an upper active display and a lower overtime display as far as I can tell. not really sure what use it is honestly.
