hooking fish

hello
when im hauling in the longline there is no circle showing up to say when to retrieve the fish and pressing the mouse button seems to do nothing so i keep missing fish.

is it me missing some technique or is it a glitch?

Try reloading game if a glitch it may fix it, you should get a circle, if not then not your fault game is still very buggy.

Hi this is not a glitch. You must hooking when the ring go to smal. It is a question of timing.

It's a bug, re-read the comment - THERE IS NO RING. I'm experiencing the same issue. Most of the fish go by without any rring showing, just "Missed", and when there is a ring it doesn't get small, just disappears immediately and "Missed" shows.

I have a high-end machine so it's not a graphics or CPU performance issue, it's a glitch.

The only way I've found to work around it is to attempt to hook each fish, not waiting for the "ring".

Or wait...do you mean "ring" as in bell or "ring" as in circle?

Hi. Does this still happen? I checked around and its not something happening for others, still i would like to get the save game files to inspect this issue, please zip up folder: %LOCALAPPDATA%\FBS\Saved and send it to [e-mail] - Topic no ring for hooking so we know what the case is ..
