Mackerel

No matter what i try with the lunar bow all i can catch is pollock. Is it even possible to catch mackerel in the game yet?

I would like to know this too, has anyone caught mackerel? would be great if a dev can confirm if they are catachable. seen a number of posts asking the same...

you cant unlock before you catch them to get the achievements, we are talking about mackeral not bloody cod

i know what you are talking about but i have unlocked cod before catching any and my achievement for makeral shows this

1,000 tons Mackerel
Catch 1,000 tons Mackerel
570,918 / 1,000,000

and i have not caught a single one so far as i am in 2nd boat so my point stands achievement proves nothing as they are buggy as hell.

@Boatabike please forgive me I do apologise, I really thought I had caught them as it show in my achievments, and looking at achievments I have unlocked all boats yet the last 4 are padlocked and it says on my achievments 25 out of 30, so yes it's bugged and I am sorry for jumping the gun..

I'm more impressed that you're able to catch ANY fish in the Lunar Bow. It won't let me recover the net. >.<

really? just put all your crew on net haul and pull back on the two wire levers to wind them in. once its at 25m or less you can press the button on the left of the chair to haul. just wait then. you are in the right chair? the one facing the rear of the ship.

as im hauling in i see the doors return so i press the button to haul in and the green bar stops just before it gets to the get in position and does nothing more , i can move around etc but the bar just stays there and then shows crew as idle but still stays there

are you stationary? one time i had to put some reverse on to stop, but sorry it progressed through that fine for me evertime. It seemed to wait until the ship was stationary and then the lines came in further and the net process begun.

mackerel doesnt seem to be in, as no one seems to have caught any lol, so what kind of price are you gettin for the 90,000kg of pollock? seems to be netting me around 600k per trip. I wish the lunar bow could also be used for line/net fishing, that cargo hold would have been useful and maybe do more than 1-2 nets in a trip lol. The fuel costs wouldnt seem to make pollock very profitable at all....thats a crazy amount of fuel to make it from closest port to the open waters and back! Im guessing it wasnt intended to be like this and prob should be gettin alot of money from the mackerel too...

I am wondering why a Dev dosen't chime in and let us know if the mackerel can be caught or not.. Rather than letting us twist about and guess.
