Nets or long lines?

I have the 2nd boat and im curious what is better in your opinion

I go with Long Lines because it helps target the fish with best prices or for missions, also you can fish long lines without having to hire crew and that way no one else gets a cut of the fish sale... this would be more than the bait costs.

yes you simply switch it in the dock upgrade screen for free (Hammerfest only)

when you reached your quota for some species the longlines helps you with the correct bait to reduce the the misscatch.. it still catches alot of the wrong species but littel more selectively than with nets.
You also can do longlines with less employees so you can safe some money (but i keep my crew). Another thing is that you can easily raise your catch with the minigame while pulling in the fish..

I am in the boat with one crew member. Even though I am using lines so far, my crew is level 13 at gutting and more than pays for his cut, by thing better prices we get with him gutting instead of me.

i like the nets, 1 120m net will fill my hold on the T3 vessel. plus i hate the gutting mini game, with the nets its alot easier.

I prefer the lines, one blue 500m line pulls anywhere from 40-60,000kg if it's placed right... too bad the tub only holds 20,000kg
