Best time to haul in nets seems to be 20:40.

After extensive testing, it seems to me that hauling in nets at 20:40 after they were set seems to give the optimal amount of fish. Have not tested with lines but I think it will be the same. I am getting around 8500-9000 kg of fish at 20:40.

I start pulling lines in at 18hrs 40min as long as there is enough fish to cover fuel and bait costs i'm happy. Also i think 15 fish in the mini game is a great haul. especially if you are doing long lines and hit 15/15 perfect for +75% haul

Try waiting until 20:40 and you will see your total haul in kg is much more than at 18:40; even though the # of fish in the minigame may be less. I have not tested this with long lines; but with nets the haul is definitely much more.
