I totally agreee. Look at games like Farming simulator or ETS2. These are great games, but what makes them perfect is... they support modding. Without modding and / or DLC you will sooner or later get to a point where earning more money makes no sense, as you can‘t spend it any more. So motivation to play this game drops rapidly. Mods and DLC prevents this.
As stated in the previous comment, games made by indie companies like Giants Software and SCS Software are INCREDIBLY popular and have an EXTREMELY loyal fan base because of the ability for fans to mod for the games, and essentially create content for the Developer so that they don't have to dedicate time and manpower for player-requested content. I believe this is definately worth looking into by Misc Games.
We're not talking about right now, it is early they should focus all of their efforts on optimizing and squashing bugs right now and get the game smooth and polished, but then dlc's and modding support would be highly welcomed.
