Who sells at the fish market?

Anyone bother selling at the local fish market? I got 20% on a early morning sale in addition to port bonus.

Selling at the local fish market is the only way to sell the fish. So i believe, every one sells at the local fish market =)

Hammerfest Centrum is the only port with a local market where you can sell to the locals you get paid more for your catch.

No matter where I am, I ALWAYS GO BACK TO Hammerfest for a better reward, unless it's a task where fish is low and the town will pay for more.

Didn't realise till awhile back that Hammerfest Centrum is the only port to sell at local market.
I thought you get better pay during the morning&day time no matter what port you go to sell your fish... Didn't check my logbooks that good i guess.

And other night i read in suggestion channel at Discord where someone suggested, that you wouldn't be able to sell your fish at local market when you are using the trawler ships.
I don't know would that be more realistic, but i wonder to where trawlers usually go to sell their big bulk of fish (in real life that is)?
I guess they sell it as bulk all at once to somewhere in port...? But do they sell any at local market in real life?

But anyhoo, now i'm wiser, that if&when i start a new game i shall be selling all my fish at Centrum to get better pay reward (if they don't make some changes to that though).

I might just start a new game... i'm currently using Lunar Bow, but i'm 20m Kr's in debt. lol

Fish market is open from 10 am to 6 pm. Then you get a better price for the fish

In Hammerfest there is two docks where you can sell fish, the "standard" (same place where you buy new boats) and then there is Hammerfest Centrum (the small dock). If you sell your fish at Hammerfest Centrum between 10 am and 6 pm you get better pay for your fish.

I believe the local bonus decreases later in the day. To get the full 20% you should dock and sell early.

Start selling the fish at the local market at 10 o'clock in the morning to get the full 20% (every hour later means 2,5% less bonus).
You stay at the local market till 6pm (selling your fish) so make sure you have no gear that is in danger of soaking too long when you're going to sell at the local fish market.

Played a whole game through and never noticed that. I am on my second game and only the 2nd boat so this is GOOD news!. Was it anywhere in the documentation?

I am the kind of player who needs to get the max rep at all the ports, but other than that I always use Hammerfest Centrum. Thanks for the tip about selling early. I had gotten different prices but thought it was random.

On my way to the Trawlers i sold all the time at the local market. What i don't unterstand, at my game version the market is open from 6 am to 6 pm.

Since i reached the Trawlers, i only sell there when i plan to buy Upgrades at Hammerfest. Just because of the extremely high fuel costs. Usually i sell at the port closest to the trawling area.

Btw. with the Hermes, you pay 17.000 Krones for the fuel just for the small distance from Hammerfest, to Hammerfest Centrum. It's more than a million if you travel from Hammerfest Centrum to the Trawling Area and back to Hammerfest Centrum.

Max rep is way to easy when you got the Hermes. Just use the Hermes to explore the map and remove the "fog".
When you reach a port - refuel. Because of the high amount of fuel that Hermes consumes, you can get a new discovered port to highest reputation just by refueling the Hermes for one time at it ;)

Well there is 1 drawback I noticed. You sell to the market for the best price you have to go at 6AM. You will not be done till 18:00 twelve hours later............... For multiple fishing lines this wouild be a no go....

I just tested it 3 times with the Hermes (fully upgraded).

Hammerfest Centrum -> Trawling Area -> Hammerfest Centrum ~1.000.000 Krone for fuel
Selling a full load to Hammerfest Centrum Market at 6am = ~1.550.000 Bonus

So even with the long distance and the high fuel usage, i receive around 550.000 extra payout.
