You need to buy bigger boats that have net fishing capabilities, which means enough kroners to get a big enough loan. The list of boats available for purchase is available only while docked in Hammerfest.
The king Crab DLC requires a higher level of certificate, which you earn by travelling around the map NOT using fast travel.
All the better boats require at least one certificate upgrade, you click on the lowest tab in your logbook to see your current level and how far you need to travel to get the next certificate.

You find the boats in the ship menu and king crab should show in the fish species when checking on the map .. Check also seasons for wich season the crab is: https://fishingbarentssea.gamepedia.com/Fish#Fishing_Seasons_Table
I bought the game and both DLCs at the same time and have no issue with the designed progression in game.
So you basically want everything given to you without the work. It's a simulator!! Just lieikeany game, you have to work up to the best of the end game. Can't say what I really think about this post..
