How to remove a curse from yourself or what is it? Playing as a technologist

My partner has a white cross hanging below him, and I don’t know what it is, how to remove it? And my partner has some kind of yellow hieroglyph

Curses should be listed under "Blessings and Curses" in your journal, and to the best of my knowledge they are not visible. They are generally quite rare, too. Maybe it's something else.

Post a screenshot, maybe someone will know.

The white crosshairs, I have never seen before.

That yellow one is the symbol for the Force college of magick. The only place I've seen this particular one is in Tulla, but it's supposed to be stationary, on the floor. I can't imagine any way the default code could accidentally attach it to a character.

Are you using any mods? I could imagine a modder getting fancy and re-using the symbols from Tulla as a way to express spells being on your character. Shield of Protection is a common Force spell.

Well, all I can tell you is, I've played through this game more than a dozen times and I've never seen either of those symbols under any of my characters.

There should be a tab under your journal that shows blessings and curses. Does is say what type of curse it is?

Curses nomally depend on having a cursed item equipped if that is the case just remove the cursed item.
