Which gang (if any)?

I'm currently at the Boil in Tarant, I've met the two gangs now and just wondering if there is any benefits/drawbacks to joining either one? I've been playing as a virtuous character (as much as I can anyway) mostly so that Marcus doesn't leave the group. Will joining either gang effect that?

I do not remember if joining any ot the gangs affects your relation with Marcus, but I doubt that it actually affects it. However, I would advice joining Maug's clan. As far as I remember, Maug is a more or less positive positive character (depending on how positive the head of the bandit group can be). However, if you want to get the ,,good" ending you would have to kill bo both leaders of these 2 gangs (Maug and Pollock).
I think the best choise would be finishing Maug's quest line and then killing Maug.

Hi. As far as I know joining either side will not affect your alignment. Although at some point in the game you will be given the option to wipe out both gangs. Further joining either side will get you some equipment. Good luck.
