Arcanum 2

Bethesda should get the rights of Arcanum and make an Arcanum 2 as an action 3d open worldd game. Anyone agree?

Bethesda is the last company I'd want to make an Arcanum 2.

Seeing Fallout 3-2 is not my cup of tea.

That's besides the point though since it's highly unlikely Bethesda would be interested in making a sequel to Arcanum since it sold so poorly.

How much did the previous fallouts sell? They didnt sell exactly millions of copies either. Would inXile do ? I didnt exactly like Wasteland 2. A 3d open world arcanum would be interesting nonetheless, but probably without the shallowness of bethesda's games.

Fallout 1 and 2 sold fairly well for the time and had a lot of brand recognition. Bare in mind that when Interplay was selling off it's IPs. Troika (who developed Arcanum) bid for Fallout, and Bethesda outbid them. It's clear based on that it was something Bethesda saw a lot of possibilities for a franchise. And they were correct.

Meanwhile Arcanum did not sell as well as the original Fallout or it's sequel, nor is it as well known. It's not even the most well regarded among Troika's games, since people tend to bring up VtmB before Arcanum since that was a fps/rpg. I foresee a new Vampire game coming out long before a 3D Arcanum game.

I find it much more likely that a different studio would make some kind of spiritual successor game to Arcanum under a different name to avoid paying Activision for the license.

I didn't like what happened to Fallout 3 & 4 so I vote HELL NO!

I would take it, however saying this, it would be nothing like arcanum we all know. In general I like open worlds were you go and explore, but arcanum is very different. The character building and people you recruit and multi quest paths is the focus rather than exploring.

Yeah, but then I immediately remember how ALL of Bethesda's games are reskins of the Morrowind.

It was called "Journey to the center of Arcanum" and was going to run on the Source engine.

I would speculate it was going to be some kind of dungeon crawler like Arx Fatalis
