Unofficial patch graphical issues
Hey folks,
So I'm playing the game with the unofficial patch (2.02) and haven't had issues with the game itself but i have had trouble with the graphics rendering.
Every so often the screen will start to "flicker" showing a previous screen, usually from a previous save or a screen i just left. It will "reset" and show the current screen when i press a key to move the camera.
This is extremely noticeable on the opening cinematics but is happening through the game. not a breaking problem but still annoying.
I suspect it's a problem with the high res settings on my computer but i'd like an opinion before i go messing with them.

I've had this problem after minimizing the game, but only when playing without the unofficial patch ironically. Win 10, Nvidia gtx 1650 graphics card.

Did you switch to software rendering?
Hardware rendering is known to cause glitches.

Solved (At least for me)

Adar_blue, no it was set to software rendering automatically for me but thanks for the suggestion.

I decided to just try setting and as I suspected, it was an issue with the high res, specifically double buffer. I just turned that off and it worked.

For anyone wanting to try the settings (again with the unofficial patch, high res module)

find the arcanum game folder. I downloaded through Good Old Games (gog.com) so for me it was in windows (C:) / Program files(x86) / GOG Galaxy / Games / Arcanum
open the HighRes subfolder.
open the config file, which should open in notepad
adjust the settings, for me it was a matter of changing double buffer value from 1 to 0
Save
Double click the _install widows batch file to update the settings in game

Unfortunately I cant guarantee this solution with work or that a mistake wont mess with your game. So, As always, save a copy of your game before trying anything.
