ffdshow support ?

any chance to get external ffdshow support ? would be great as we will be able to use various cool things, mainly the ability to use SVP (Smooth Video Project), https://www.svp-team.com/wiki/Main_Page .

Yeah, just need to use a codec tweak tool to use ffdshow instead of LAV (also make sure simple vr vid is set to DirectShow under super advanced settings).

There are some performance and stability issues with large resolution videos, but it works for the most part. Though I've heard some people had issues getting it to work. Also make sure AviSynth is installed.

ffdshow doesn't show up on the codec tool, i have microsoft, use merit (recommended) and LAV, how do i enable ffdshow on that list ? that's a great news btw, can you help me sorting this out ?

ok got it working, you have to install all the 64bit stuff from svp, it looks GORGEOUS and it's much less resource consuming than using virtual desktop, and it looks better too!!
with the same svp setting i have no frame drops so far , i was getting frame drops with virtual desktop, that's great next time i want to see a (3d) movie i'll go for your player!!

i have supersampling already in 2x with chaperone tool, so i have it at 100% in the player...
i have optimizations maxed out aa 8x and super enhance active

you should use ffdshow as default as the combination with svp is the way to go to have a great experience, thanks for the hint guys you make my day :)

my rig just for others if they want to give it a try, i7 6700k oc @ 4600mhz + gtx 1080
