MediaFoundation vs DirectShow
With MediaFoundation, some videos won't display in 3D. With DirectShow, I get lag.

Any suggestions for fixing one or the other?

Enable hardware (GPU) acceleration for direct show. Its somewhere in your codec settings heavily depends how your codecs are isntalled.
