  • Fixed bug where if a player leaves and someone else joins with the same player number, both players will stay in permanent data

  • Added fix where \[Pier Secret 1] doesn't reset after entering and exiting the shop

This update was very much thought of before release. To be fair, I thought this was going to be a simple, one-week biome rework.

I believe this is the most arduous thing I have ever done with this game.

This update changes the entire biome of Entry Zero: The Pier for you to play with 2-4 players in co-op mode! (Of course, singleplayer mode will still be available.)

Play with your friends and share an inventory, fish collection, and logbook. Work together with your team to explore, catch rare fish, make new discoveries, buy rods, and experience VASTWAKE in a completely different perspective!

Co-op for Entry One: The Tropics is currently in development, and because the fundamentals of this gamemode are complete, expect it very soon.

Entry 2 and future entries will release with co-op for its designated biome.

This update also comes with its own OST track for the end of Entry Zero's co-op! (It will be included near the end of Entry 2's OST album.)

v2.1.0 releases with 22 new achievements, and they aren't just for co-op.

The new achievements include those for co-op mode, coin earnings, and miscellaneous other achievements.

This raises the achievement total for this game to 45! Of course, more achievements will be added with future major updates.

There are still Entries 2-4 to make.

I was putting them on hold for this update. However, after a few bug patches (and maybe QoL additions), development will fully move to Entry 2.

Any updates will likely be announced on YouTube, the FAQ on VASTWAKE's Steam page, or game announcements (like these!).

  • Fixed dead pixel on Vine Rod's cast animation

  • Fixed missing frame on fishing idle animations of the Driftwood, Bamboo, and Thorn rods

  • Fixed the camera not adjusting to the player's position if leaving the shop with a ui menu open

  • Fixed a bug where bobber would go above the player sprite at certain times

  • Fixed the sidebar UI not updating in the Tropics Heart

  • Fixed achievement popup crashing the game in very few cases

  • Fixed crash when changing keybinds in the shop

  • Fixed crash with casting and pressing unstuck at the same time

  • Fixed a typo in the play menu

  • Fixed a background issue where reeling UI wouldn't hide, just be invisible

  • Made UI menus close when pausing

• QoL and UX changes

  • When reeling, the rod auto-decasts after 8-11 seconds if you haven't started the fishing minigame

  • Changed inventory slot stack limit to 6

  • Made player unable to pause and open other UI menus in a cutscene

  • Made Variant fish count towards completion. Sorry

  • Made singleplayer menu skip to Pier if it's your first playthrough

  • Made total coins and fish count up to 10 billion!

  • Made fishing progress difficulty scaling depending on the rarity of fish!

    • This means that Common fish will be obtained faster than Epic fish, for example.

  • Removed pause key rebindabiity
