I wanted it to be hard to identify where the enemy actually is and to be able to gauge their strength. I nearly didn't add the squad markers for the enemy squads but there's always got to be a trade off between realism and gameplay I guess.
> I think the circles are a good idea but when zoomed out they blend in with the enviorment.
I'll look into making them expand a bit as you zoom out.
> So when it says I lost Jimmy I could click on the update and it would move my screen to Jimmy's dead body.
Good idea that! I'll get that done.
> Some one else posted this but is there a reason for the hold to select for firing and artillery?
The click and hold is to allow you to adjust the fire position so you can see the LOS lines. You can also use that just to get the LOS lines without having to open fire.
> For the mortar I'd like something similar to the artillery where it shows the target location
Good idea that too. I've put it on the TODO list.
> When reinforcements arrive can there be a bugle (bugel?) sound or something obvious
There should be a clunk sound. I'll check if that's not working
> Someone else already mentioned but a manual would be nice to explain what the speech bubbles mean like "AMMO!" and "MEDIC!"
Yes, that does need an explanation. You don't need to take any action when that happens, the men take care of things. A wounded man will shout "Medic!" and any nearby friendly troops who aren't pinned down will try to move over to the wounded man and administer some first aid. Half the members of each squad carry spare ammo for the LMG and will try and move over to the machine gunner when he's getting low on ammo and shouting "Ammo!". It would have been clearer if when the man reached the destination they shouted something like "I'm here!" or "Take the ammo!" but as my budget for this game was pretty close to zero there was only a limited amount of speech sound effects I came across. If the game keeps selling well on Steam I'll look into getting some professional voice effects done.
> One thing I noticed with the unit icons in the bottom right is that the MG34 icon looks like he is carrying a MP40
I'll take a look at that, but again I was on such a tight budget I just made use of whatever graphics I could afford a friend of mine to come up with.
> One thing I'd like is a COMPLETED marker on missions we've won
Yes, that was something I really should have thought of earlier! It's on the TODO list now too.
Thanks for some really great suggestions and please keep them coming. I'll get to work straight away!
