Ex Sanguis is a turn-based tactical, mixed with a roguelite loop, where you play as the Stillae, elite warriors birthed from the Sanguis of the Mater. Embodying the last hope of their divinity, you'll have to make your enemies bleed to bring back the flow of life into a world frozen in time by the dark forces of the Stasis.

The studio behind Ex Sanguis is the same as Othercide, however Ex Sanguis is neither a sequel nor a prequel to Othercide. The main similarities between the 2 games are the color palette of white, red and grey, with a brighter tone for Ex Sanguis, as well as the mechanics around the timeline and delayed attacks still at the heart of its gameplay.

Ex Sanguis, story-wise, is set in a different universe than Othercide with new characters, the Stillae. Gameplay-wise, metaprogression and roguelite elements are now part of the game with cycles to end to get new skills, traits and reach out to harder bosses.

The Stillae are born from the Sanguis of the Mater and are the last bastion against the forces of the Stasis. Their goal is to bring back the flow of life in a static world thanks to the power of blood, the Sanguis.

You can play as 3 Stillae, each represent a class: Sangladis, Tempestar, Veritor. You can rename your Stillae and select their skills which can interrupt enemies attack, delay your own spells, deal instant damage, push and pull on the battlefield, offering different opportunities to play around the timeline.

Ex Sanguis features some roguelike elements through a loop: with each playthrough, you carve new strength from failure and victory alike, unlocking new powers and possibilities for your Stillae.

Modifiers are also applicable before starting a battle, giving maluses or harder encounters with enemies, but rewarding you with more blood, question is: will you take the risk, or not?

Early Access is planned to last a year maximum, with several updates to bring new content and improve the quality of life thanks to your feedback and suggestions.

Whether it is regarding a bug or a suggestion for the game, all is welcomed to help us carve Ex Sanguis as the best experience possible.

For now, the game is aiming only for a PC release on Steam, but we may explore other platforms in the future. All new information regarding porting or new platforms will be shared with you as soon as we know more.

The game at Early Access launch has a 5 to 6 hours lifetime. New content will be added with further updates such as new bosses, more missions layouts etc… You can check the Roadmap at the beginning of this news to have a glimpse at what's to come!

Price may slightly increase depending on the new updates and additions made during the Early Access, all changes in the pricing of the game will be displayed before the change happens.
