Glider Island

head controling
I'm easing into VR. My buddy 's got over $3kUS of gear. I'm starting with Samsung VR Gear, Riftcat/Vridge/SteamVR. The only controller I have is the VR Gear that seems to only operate in Gear/Occulsus mode in the app. I bought Glider Island because it said there is a head control option. I can get the game displayed on the (S8+) Vridge app and see the island options. When I point/headset click I get a 'recenter' message. I'm above this tiny rock island with a light house. I'm using a gtx980M, i7 chip. I don't expect a super smooth high def. Is it a controller issue, if you know is there a steamVR controller? any help... Thanks Don from Portland Oregon, US

Hi donhowland,
Glider Island is only compatible with 6 DOF (degrees of freedom) headsets such as the Oculus Rift, WMR headsets and HTC Vive. The Gear VR will now work with glider island since it is a 3 DOF headset.

Thanks for the reply. You are the first person to mention DOF, I thought I'd read up on the specs of the OR, Vive, never saw that reference. The Laugh is on me. Several months ago our 10 y/o DT died, I went on Amazon and bought a low end PC for my wife ($600). I'm trying to save up a little at a time for a VR gaming DT. I just for the fun of it I ran the OR compatibility on that cheap DT... guess what... GTX 1060, Razen 5 processor.. it completely passed the OR test. Now all I need is the OR S. Funny on how things happen even without you realizing.
