1440x900 Res issues?

I recently switched from having a 1080x1920 monitor as my primary to having a 1440x900 monitor, because of better color quality. However, now whenever I try playing the game it looks incredibly stretched out with nearly 1/4 of the screen on the top and bottom being black. The game acts like it thinks I'm using a 1440x400 res monitor, even though no other games have this issue. Has anyone else had this issue, and know how to fix it? Thanks for taking the time to read this.

One thing you might try is putting the launch option (right click game in library -> properties -> launch options)

-show-screen-selector

In order to get the screen selector dialogue screen next time the game is launched.

In there you can mess around with some of the settings at least - I had a bit of a weird issue where I had to ask it once to launch the game in windowed mode, then it would let me select the real resolution I wanted.. the game launched full screen anyway but the issue appeared to go away.

That's the only options I know about right now though.

Thanks, I'll try it! I found limited success in changing the main monitor on my setup to my 1920x1080 monitor, booting the game, then switching the main monitor to the 1440x900 before the main title shows. For some reason the game then displayed perfectly, but the other monitors were displaying other apps incorrectly until I quit the game.
