Controls not working?
I boot it up and first thing I noticed it controlled a little wierd on the main menu. Up and down on the dpad didn't move the cursor, left and right did. I just said whatever and tried the tutorial. Turns out, only left and right on the stick work, up and down wasn't detected at all. Trying to fix it I went into the controls and ended up selecting some option and now my cursor is constantly moving up in the menu, even restarting doesn't seem to help.

Any advice on how to get the controls to reset and then how to fix the up and down not being detected? It was pretty wild to find a game breaking bug within 2 seconds of starting the game.

I'm having the same issue. Cant seem to fix it

edit: Okay I fixed it. It seems to be a problem with big picture settings.

Go to steam settings > Controller > General Controller Settings and then tick the "Configuration Support" that applies to you. Ie. if you have a playstation controller, tick "Playstation Configuration Support".

I ended up having to get DS4Windows to get it to work for me. Using the native controller support, I wasn't able to get it to work.

There are some different places within Steam to mess around with controllers if you wanted to have another go - mind you if it's not broken for you now there mightn't be much point "fixing" it.

Anyway, the global settings you found already perhaps - big picture mode, settings, controller settings, the detected game controller you can push at the bottom and then such page pops up with "calibrate" option that might be worth checking out

Otherwise, still in big picture mode you can go find in your library Aaero and on the left press "Manage"

there appears Controller configuration section and as long as you have the configuration support enabled for your controller (or generic), pressing that gives another screen:

That controller configurator can also be reached from settings on the steam overlay and from controller configuration on the right hand side when viewing the library in normal mode (not big picture)

Either way one can go quite in depth to the configurator, as far as what buttons do what... even as far as mapping keyboard buttons to the controller if wanted.

Just saying in case you were not aware these existed and they might help in some way.

Be well!
