Performance issues: World 6, "Elevator Action"

At the ladder-drop puzzle, I've tried a lot of approaches, rewound a lot, back and forth and I started noticing the game running at 20fps (Steam Overlay FPS metric).
I've reset the map by exiting and re-entering and the framerate is stable 60.
