Okay so I bought this as a joke and now I can't stop.

Cat Screen does exactly what it says on the tin: there's a cat, and it's on your screen. That's it. That's the pitch. And somehow it's one of the most relaxing things I've installed this year.

The good:

The cat reacts to your cursor. Move it around and she'll bat at it, ignore it dramatically, or just stare at you like you've personally offended her ancestors.
Idle animations are chef's kiss. She naps in the corner of your taskbar, knocks virtual items off invisible shelves, and occasionally just sits and blinks slowly at you (you will blink back, you have no choice).
Runs on basically nothing. My potato laptop doesn't even notice it's there.
The "knead the desktop" animation lives in my head rent free.
Little meow sound effects are randomized so she never gets annoying, and you can turn them off if you're in a meeting and don't want to explain why your screen is meowing.

The bad:

Sometimes she sits directly over the one button you need to click. She does this on purpose. I have accepted this.
No multiplayer (I would kill for a two-cat household mode, devs please)
I have started talking to her out loud and my roommate is concerned.

Verdict:
Is it a "game" in the traditional sense? Debatable. Is it the best coworker I've had all year? Absolutely. She doesn't talk during my meetings, she doesn't ask me to fix the printer, and she's never once asked "just circling back on this."

10/10, would let a fake cat judge my life choices again.
