Thank you so much, I'm really glad you like it! :)
Yes, I do plan to eventually expand the limit, either through larger map sizes or potentially even unlimited sizes by seamlessly loading areas. This will most likely come after I am able to update to Godot 4.0, though, as it has an entirely new renderer and includes a ton of improvements and new features across the board. I'll be taking that opportunity to rework and optimize a lot of things in RPG in a Box. Maps can be up to 128x128 tiles currently, although there can start to be performance issues when filling up an entire map this large. The Ultima series is one of my big inspirations, so I'd definitely like to support larger overworld maps in the future.
Thank you for your support! :)
can you tell me your thoughts since you are responsive here.
I'd recommend checking out the online documentation (https://docs.rpginabox.com) as it's fairly comprehensive. If something specific is missing or out of date, please let me know and I can try to bring it up to date when I can. Please keep in mind that I'm the sole developer working on this game engine, and although I've tried to keep the documentation up to date as much as I can, I can only spend so much time on it in order to keep development moving forward, among other things like marketing and promotion. I am extremely fortunate to have my wife helping me by creating the YouTube tutorial series, which is relatively new, but is still ongoing and being actively worked on by her almost every day as she has the time. She is progressing through each editor and the series will eventually cover the entire workflow.
If you, or anyone reading this post, know of any YouTubers or content creators that might be interested in creating tutorial videos, I'd really appreciate it if you could reach out to them and let them know about RPG in a Box. It takes a lot of time and effort to create documentation and tutorial videos, so the more the community can help out in this regard, the more I can focus on the development of RPG in a Box and making it the best it can be.
I would also recommend jumping onto the Discord server (https://discord.gg/rpginabox) if you can. It's a very helpful community and there are many people willing to answer questions and provide guidance on how to do things. Thank you so much for your patience!
I appreciate that you've offered this document. Nevertheless, the contents are just not informative enough and no one will deny that the contents are not superior to a series of tutorial videos when it comes to grasping the necessary ideas of making a "quality" game.
I'm a solo self-employed tutor, too. I can make and launch two YouTube videos a day and they can reach a new audience because of YouTube's recommendation, meaning the videos are quality enough. Thus, being understaffed should not be the reason for not being productive enough to meet the needs of your customers, not to mention the fact that they are paid customers.
I've checked out the pages about "String", "message", "display message". Nothing is about how to "format" a string. For example, showing a bold string or one that has different color text in the dialogue (NPC mode). Did I miss anything about that?
