I wish they did old good sprites or voxel graphics a la Command & Conquer. These games looks good even today.

The 8-bit art style is fun and help keeps costs down, and performance up.

OP if you don't like it then it's not the game for you you knowe you don't need to get it, there is no need to insult people who like and enjoy the game.

There is alot more to a game than just graphics, some people aren't so shallow to only play games with amazing graphics.

These games are quite fun and not that expensive so I think it's not a bad trade.
I actually kinda like the graphics and music style. I don't think it's super great, but it's nice.

You aren't paying for the graphics, it's a game not a movie or some other sort of presentation.

Saying all people who bought this are sheep just because you don't like it is extremely narrow minded.

And I don't think the devs will "ban" you because they are pretty open minded and listen to feedback. So far they've handled it quite nicely.

Try to look at things from more than just your own perspective, because now you kinda look like just another hater and by insulting everyone you don't come across like someone who has some useful feedback about this game which will make all you say fruitless.

gaming industry has changed in the last 15 years.

when i was young and we played games we were considered as freaks bcause of it

not a lot of people were playin

today its a thing the masses do.everbody plays games


the market has grown like fk and ofc that brought its repercussions with it

if u want to do some studys regarding this topic : blizzard north is one , prob the best, example for this.

"Tripple A" Gaming Industry is more or less internally dead
the process of manufacturing a game has become so incredibly unflexible
they want to assure profit and therefore they are afraid to change the standart "formula"
that has the effect that everything is stagnating
no room for innovation ->continuous decrease in quality
you can talk about the whys here for a while


there is even more to add to this topic here, like f.e. games becoming more and more casual, overall decrease of quality due to beeing focused solely on profit in general etc etc etc



Almost all 3xA Titels of the past years have been fails.
look at no mans sky, starwars battlefront 2 , the battlefield series ( lots of people see BC2 as last good Bf)
diablo 3 , sim city

list goes on and on



i dont know if ure old enough or not to talk about this
but the gaming of today comes not nearly close to the times when games like d2, quake 3, wc3, counterstrike were released


when i see things like overwatch beeing released and hyped by the people im not sure if i should cry or laugh my ass off

but luckily the indie market has developed in the past years

yes everything is a bit smaller , but A) thats nothing bad at all and B)thats exactly what makes it stand out

everything is smaller, but focused on quality

developers put their heart into games and when i see people like those from 8bit talk iam reminded of the interviews with bill roper from the 90s i watched again a few days ago
or the schaefer brothers

you can see/feel that glance in their eyes ,just the same like i have when i work on my paintings. the spirit of creation, passion.


thats why they make better games than giant companys of today controlled by even bigger giant companys.

so yeah terraria f.e. had "bad" graphics ( i think its very beautiful) but i had so much fun playin it. i was looking forward to talk about it with my friends everyday, it just felt the same like when d2 was released. smth d3 couldnt even come close to and people were claiming its only bcause of nostalgia but well.
terraria proved that this is not true




i dont know if theres hope for u if u think only graphics matter, but u should invest some time and learn a bit more about gaming, bcause u really make a fool out of urself here

I love Indie games what is in 8-16 bit style. But seriously,this isn't Super Nintendo era. This is Voxel graphics. Voxel graphics are loved by many players,and it runs on older computers,too.

Why so mad dude? There's this beautiful freedom you have that allows you to refrain from buying things you don't want. Hating on people that like a game because of a particular style is about as juvenile as it gets so I'm assuming you're younger.
