Endless Sierra Launcher bug
So I bought a few of the games released today, excited! But this one doesn't seem to work as the others do. I don't have an optical drive plugged into my computer right now and I heard that caused an error in the GOG version, and this may be related to that, but it's not the same bug described from what I can tell.

Basically, I launch the game and get to the Sierra Launcher. I then click play game, and then it either does one of the following things:
-I leave it open and it does nothing.
-I leave it open and it tells me the application is already running (but there's nothing in my processes outside of the Sierra Launcher)
-Steam tries to launch the Sierra Launcher again and then tells me it failed as the app is already running.
-I close it before it loads, and it seems to confirm my theory as when the process of Sierra Launcher is not running, it will launch another Sierra Launcher.

I just thought I should report this, it almost seems like the launcher is trying to launch the launcher, from what I can tell.

Have same error here. Have you found a solution for this?

Same issue - does anyone have a fix? Frustratingly it did manage to load the first time but I came out of the game as I was experiencing the flickering issue noted on another thread!

the flickering issues has actually been resolved by going into the game (like actually when you're able to move gabriel and right clicking and choosing I think the gear icon? Then turning off the rendering option under graphics settings.

Somone also mentions running this game in windows 98 compatitbility mode will solve nearly all issues overall. But after all that, I'm running into the same issues as you now... My best option is to restart my computer.

I played the game few times, then all of a sudden I had the same issues with endless Sierra Launcher. I used "system restore" and restored to a previous state using the data from a restore point. That worked for me.
