Launch Scale Test Coming Up

Greetings Daevas,

Launch is flying ever closer! To prepare, we are setting up a Launch Scale Test (LST) from September 17th through September 18th.

Dates To Look For

Pre-download: September 16th

Sept 16th, 6AM - Sept 17th, 6AM PDT /

Sept 16th, 15:00 - Sept 17th, 15:00 CEST

Day 1: September 17th

Sept 17th, 6AM – 12PM PDT /

Sept 17th, 15:00 - 21:00 CEST

Day 2: September 18th

Sept 18th, 12PM – 6PM PDT /

Sept 18th, 21:00 - Sept, 19th 03:00 CEST

Information

Platforms

Steam and PURPLE

Accessibility

Open to everyone. No keys, no invites, no registration list

Play time

6 hours per day; 12 hours total

Progression

Carries from Day 1 to Day 2. All progression is wiped at the end of Day 2. Nothing transfers to Advanced Access or launch.

Important Notes

No purchases of any kind will be available. Shop, Quna, passes, memberships and all payment portals will be turned off.
Marketplace, Quna exchange, and player-to-player trading will be disabled.
Founder's Pack items will not be available during LST.
Closet will be disabled. Default outfits only.
Max level will be limited to 37, which will limit content requiring a higher level.

After the Test

Steam players must uninstall the Playtest App and download AION 2 separately for Advanced Access on September 30th.
PURPLE players have no further steps needed.

I see videos complaining about how difficult it is to change. When do you get locked into a class? How do I know what I want to play if I can't try different classes?

Clearing up the Confusion: This is How the P2W Works in this Game.

There is a lot of misunderstanding surrounding the P2W in this game. Some of the hate is is definitely justified but the problem is different than how a lot of people are talking. So, in an effort to clear it up, this is how it works: 1. PVP: Players CANNOT use $$$ to purchase PVP gear. You simply cannot use $$$ to purchase the pvp gear, not even indirectly. The game has no chance of a long life outside of KR.

Monetization and significant restrictions for F2P players will quickly spell the end for Aion 2. The lack of free trading for F2P players, in particular, will be the final nail in the coffin. Without trading a core aspect of the game - there is no point in playing. Requiring a monthly subscription to unlock trading is a disaster.
