someone help when i start my slrr up i get create hw 3d device FAILED i have Gone to game directory\save\game and delete the options file but it dont fix anything. the game was working yday and today its broke :( i want to play and fix my car up :(

VALO CITY CRASHES WITHOUT ERROR.LOG !?!?!?!?

Only recently updated the game, last played this around build 730 which worked fine, otherwise been playin BB93`s Stage.1, which also works fine.

Anyhow, deleted my old save, started a new one and got cracking on a build.
  • Dealers work fine
  • No Problems in Catalog
  • All tracks work (even in free ride)

It doesn`t leave an Error.log so I can`t even pin down the errors origin and it`s annoying as hell !

I noticed that there is a moveable parts (script ?) feature now, and I know that script usually caused problems with older versions of SLRR like 2.2.1 or LE2MWM when loading Valo, also not dropping Error.log files.

  1. Turned off traffic and pedestrians > no fix
  2. Lowered graphics and resolution > no fix
  3. Running it in windowed mode and XP compability > no fix
  4. Manually checked for missing RPK's or similar > nothing I could find

I also let Steam check for missing game files three times and it usually wound up to find 460~kb of files missing but after downloading...
Again, NO FIX.

It`s super annoying and after hours of trying to mend this myself I`ve given up.

Yo, i just dropped a nice 5 hours into a save only for the city to be stuck in an infinite loading screen which i constantly get and every time i do the game crashes, my save file corrupts and the only fix is to delete it.

I have an issue with "clean races". The AI cars would ram into me which would cause a penalty on me. I also have an issue when I slide off the road, the game would sometimes count it twice or three times when I try to get back on the road.
