Can't go to the city at night crash.
So, I bought a car, raced around a bit during the day time, anything between 8am and 8pm. But everytime i choose to go to the city between 8pm and 8am, the loading screen turns black, the game crashes, and then i have a task bar notification saying something like "The StreetLegal_RE application to Graphics hardware has been blocked". Has this happened to anyone, and does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

The error log only contains this, right after the crash happens:

Bump? Cuz this really bothers me. It's sorta locking me out from a portion of the game to help me get started with a decent career

Have you tried running in compatibility mode? This game is based on a pretty old game so this may help. I personally cannot even try to reproduce your issue as I only have a dual core desktop with no dedicated graphical I can only suggest. If you know how set the "Street Legal Racing Redline.exe" file in the local game files to run as Windows XP compatibility mode.

Ive now tried setting the compatibility mode to Windows XP (Service Pack 3), and it keeps doing the same. Normaly, the loading screen freezes for a second, before going back to normal, and asking me to press enter. At night however, when its "suposed" to freeze, it goes black. Though, this time it did not display the "hardware has been blocked" message

Hmm, maybe try running as administrator. I'm actually very clueless trying to come up with ideas. Have you tried having steam verify the game cache?

Ive restarted the pc between posts, verified the game cache right now, saying 321 files failed to validate and were redownloaded, ran as admin in both windows 8 and windows xp mode, and it still crashes. Only win8 mode shows the message however. Perhaps it has something to do with the game lighting or something? Since its night time, maybe the skybox, or street lights are incompatible with something? I have turned dynamic lighting off, and textures from high to low, yet the same happens

Have you iupdated your graphics drivers lately? I know it's not the CPU because my desktop has integrated Intel graphics and runs just fine. Also check and make sure your DirectX version is up to date.
Yea, everything is up to date. Could be that perhaps, since i have both Intel HD Graphics Family, and the GeForce 820M, that the game doesn't switch to the GeForce one? Or vice-versa, in case of which the game decides its better to use. It is honestly bugging me, because I seem to be a lone case about this. I have searched the internet, several forums of SLRR in english, brazilian portuguese, and portugal portuguese forums, and none have this sort of problem.

Could try disabling your graphics card temporarily to see if that solves the issue. If it does then it's definet ally a conflict with your graphics card. Although since you have the mobile version of the 860 I'm not sure if it's possible. Some laptops let you disable the Gpu and some don't.

I'm sorry, but how do I disable it? Go to the Device Manager, right-click, and just choose to disable the 820M? Can't that harm the pc in some way tho? Just a minor concern of mine

Well, in the Device Manager, it does give me the option to Deactivate it, or Uninstall it. Of course, Uninstalling isn't the brightest of choises, but I am only scared of somehow damaging the pc by deactivating it, all in the hopes of testing a game, you know?

I wouldn't go disabling anything since your on a laptop. Windows will naturally let you disable anything. You can check your BIOs settings and see if there is an option there but I would never recommend disabling things from windows. Honest'y I wouldn't even try it unless you know what your doing and how to fix incase things go south. Usually laptops don't allow you to disable the graphics cards in the bios though.
Hm... Guess i'm better off letting it be as is. Maybe in a future patch, it can be magically fixed? Either way however, thank you very much for your time, to try and help me with this isolated weird bug.

Hopefully one day you'll be able to enjoy this wonderful game with the rest of us :) Good luck.

Are you running any antivirus software and/or antimalware or firewall? If so maybe check to be sure SLRR is fully allowed. You said it tells you application to graphics has been blocked. My first question is by what?
