did you pick (and use) the flower? That was the thing that held me up, didn't realize it had suddenly become collectible.
I just went to the post office and she told me I had a fax.
how can you fix this?
Just dealt with that, it's a legit bug. At some point after having done all I could and being stuck I checked and I had a fax in my inventory.. I had just tried the post office very quick, so I loaded a recent save to retrace my steps and see how I got it. After using the lily, I went straight to the post office and the woman told me I had NO MAIL. Weird. It took me doing lots of random stuff(nothing new or that gives points)to get her to give me the fax. By reloading several times I pinned down what allowed the event to trigger: I just had to enter the Schloss Ritter and then I could find the fax at the post office. Seemed weird to have the game wanting me to randomly check there. By looking for it online it seems Gerde is supposed to tell you a fax has arrived, but that particular event never triggers for me: just entering the ritter castle seems to do the trick though.
This chapter is a real mess, I got stuck for so long trying to get the lily, it was so obvious what to do with it but she just wouldn't pick it up (meanwhile she decides that roses are pickable only on the second day, again with no clue from the game about it) and it turns out I had to first make the most desperate attempt at contacting a writer through its publishing house, even though gracie refuses to comment the book page where the phone number is present so that the lilies would blossom and an old guy could gently picked one up for me.
Good thing I got lucky on the fax thing because if I had tried the first time without entering the castle first I would have gone circles forever.
Design wise, it's worse than gk1. In gk1 there was always some clue at to what had to be done, here there has already been several instances where clues seem to be intenionally held from the player, maybe to make up for the lower overall complexity
