There is no installer outside of Steam Library the .exe is a launcher.
The desktop shortcut Steam created for LIF is a URL. Internet based so you cant ever loose the game no matter what you do with windows.
To uninstall a game rightclick it in steam Library and un-install.
I have run windows 10 had issues formatted my drive rolled back to windows 7 x64 prof and all I needed to do was install Steam Client and all my games sit in the library ready to be re-installed.
Some I have not reinstalled so still sit there ready to install.
I had issues with launching LIF in the beginning so used the .exe from Programfiles Forrest Village .exe created a shortcut for it to my desktop.
There is 2 files in Forrest Village
ForestVillage.exe<< Launches game
ForestVillageSaver<< screensaver
Neither will uninstall it.
Mods subscribed to you unsubscribe from the Workshop.
Exit Steam Client fully there has been a lot of updates lately and even LIF has had lots of small updates with fixes.
Why you cant you play it anymore?
Can I help there, what problems are you having?
Open Steam top left of this page>settings>Web Browser>Delete Web Browser Cache.
The reason i cannot play the game anymore is due to the fact that the LiFFV.exe file is locking me out ( missing file privileges), after uninstalling the game the old LiFFV.exe file is still in the folder and preventing the game from correctly beeing reinstalled. i actually could play the game offline using the new LiFFV.exe file in the download folder of Steam, but that file has since also stopped working and is showing the same problems as the LiFFV.exe file in the actual LiFFV folder. As of now the game is no longer playable and i have unistalled for so far it would let me.
