Building fire repair

My school recently caught on fire and was successfully saved by the villagers. Yay! however, now the teeagers won't go back in the school. I freed up labourers, and builders but nobody did anything about it. Also there was no FPV option to do anything to repair the structure. I even tried walking the kids over to the school and the only option is to open "inventory" in the school.

I did see a similar post in discussion about houses being repaired after a lightning strike and fire being extinguished.
A school is a hefty building to demolish and rebuild early on :-/

School age is really young in Forest Village time, 2 or 3, as soon as they get older by just a little that opportunity is missed and at 3 become workers. They walk around with a learning in their character.
I have the opposite didnt make enough schools and with 47 babies there wasnt enough time to build them. You know how builders can be, eating drinking.

Do you have more than one school? Then they may have gone to the other school as well.
Try this, destroy it and rebuild.
Keep an eye on the village info there is a list on the list of how many Babies, teenagers and adults

Sounds like normal behaviour,
I maybe cheating death and hardships as I unticked disasters the game is hard enough with all the weather .
I have 3 schools with a population of 240 one within each village, and where there is houses babies are born more often so go to school .
