Tree Aging/Decay is redonculous
So my first reaction is this game is good with so much potential. Obviously there are some balancing issues with things that need worked out. My biggest as the title states is the trees. My island has basically de-treed itself in the course of 3 years. The old strong trees are non-existent and the only remaining trees are small, yet still fall over very quickly. Me thinks that the aging and growing rates are different, if they are tied to the same value. Hopefully devs you will work it out. Oh and gatherer huts seem worthless unless I'm missing something. Thanks.

Not sure about the tree's but gatherer's huts thrive when you don't mass gather resources in its area of influence.

The trees do have a very short lifespan (as compared with game humans), While you can get plenty of wood from foresters, even in a pretty built up area, you don't get visuals to correspond. I suspect it's a partly a matter of graphic load, but it does disappoint me. I'd really love it if the name, either initially, before human intervention or after foresters going all out doing nothing but planting for a few years. Even initially it doesn't feel very FOREST like.

This bothers me too. The island is so lovely when you first go on but within a year or two the whole island looks rather plain. There are plenty of small trees and I have no problem with wood but it doesn't look awesome as it first did. The trees die quickly. Fall over and disappear. A new one springs up but never reaches the glorious size of the original ones.

I hope the devs do something about this.

Gathers are no problem for me. It can be hard sometimes to find a good spot for your first one or two unless you take the time to do some terraforming but I try to find a spot near the initial village but in a wooded green area and they will supply pllenty of veggies for the early villagers.

I'd be prefectly happy with images of larger trees but not getting more wood than the current mode (which, for the age of the trees is actually pretty amazingly generous). I'd Also really like to see trees live a "realistic" lifespan (as compared to humans, not actual years, although that would be fine too).

I have a suspicion unconfirmed that those large trees that give you so much lumber were put in intentionally to give you a head start on wood. If I am right I am grateful.

I agree that the amount of timber should stay as current. I am fine with that I just would like the island to have somewhat the same feel it has when you start. Plus trees do die too quickly. Little trees fall over for no reason. Is there a secret disease causing this?

Yes, we tend to repeat the same things. Human nature. "Hey, I found something wrong let me rush over and report it." Doesn't hurt anything and we can get a consensus of what the most people like and dislike. Mostly dislike I guess.
