Transfer between barns
It would be awesome if you could send workers to transfer certain items between barns, as my people are all only walking to the closest barn which only holds fish, but the other one furhter away has all the fruit and meat and no one is using it which is frustrating.. Or is there a workaround?

This I consider a necesity. We need to be able to move items from barn to barn and warehouse to warehouse as the village grows. I am only year four in current game and already have a second barn. Veggies and meat are going in one barn and fish in the orginal barn. As the village grows it will only get worse.

Yes! I finally had to destroy and rebuild a barn with all of my hides just to force then into a place my tailors could get to them. It wouldn't be as awful to do it that way if you could put more than one person on the destruction but as it was it was glacial.

you also lose stock doing that.

the distance people will walk for food is very limited. Increasing that would help some.

I wonder if the devs realized that people would play for many game years. We should have a wee competition to see how big a village we can make.

The problem is that I cant destroy the second barn because the first one is already full with other stuff apart from food. The only solution I see is to build another one right next to the first and then destroy the one further away. But the more you develop and go far away with your workers, you need a barn in between for them not to walk that ridiciously far.

Why not have a new category for workers just carrying stuff between your storage buildings? This would help and only be logical.

Porters, yes but you need to be able to tell them what to carry and how much. Years ago I played a game series by a German developer that had that. The had hand carts and ox carts two.

You basically only need a GUI where you choose two barns/warehouses, select what goods need to be carried, which amount and in which direction.. programming also shouldn't be that hard.
I hope they will introduce some solution, otherwise its not really playable after a few years have passed by :-/

Or at least a market type structure that collects from all barns and warehouses and keeps the surrounding area stocked with all available resources and food types

Donkeys from the caravan would do the job.

No you don't. The workers will first clear the stock first.

You need them long before you can afford to build all the stuff for expeditions (which if I understand correctly can repeatedly bring back everything BUT a donkey).

You guys make everything way too complicated than it should be. Learn to spread resources equally through selective placement of buildings, manipulating where villagers place their resource. It isn't that difficult. Later on, when you do expeditions, you can go into donkey kong mode.
