Make a bigger population my friend, and you'll wish you had more.

You can set the resource limit for hides, but the hunters don't care, and will continue to pick them up and store them.

Has it been resolved? I have enough clothes and the hides have filled up all my barns. I can't remove the hunters; someone should protect my pastures after all. How it is possible to eliminate an unnecessary amount of skin?

There is no direct way to get rid of hides except to use them for clothing. However, as Tag suggests, grow your population and you will eventually hit a point where your need will outstrip your ability to produce. Usually I find somewhere around 150 pop in an unmodded game things even out and if you're on a small island may tilt the other way since livestock doesn't produce any. Simply making spare barns out in the boonies and using donkeys to fill them up with hides (or let the hunters fill them and don't worry about moving them) and you will eventually be glad for them .

You can also reduce the number of hunters needed by keeping your livestock away from the forest (out it will insde civilized areas), or barring that, your forest away from the livestock (animals don't spawn where all the trees have been cut.) .

If you go looking for a new map consider ones with easy spaces to isolate from wild animals. Seed 1784020664 has a peninsula right off the start place that, if you clearcut will be completely unbothered by wild animals

Similarly, if you can reduce the need for hunters by walling off areas with livestock to have only a single entrance, preferable in or near the middle of well cleared areas like the town center. You can use either of the kinds of fencing the game provides or you can be cheap and and just bild and earthen berm with the terraforming raise/lower tool.

What a brilliant idea! I tried a donkey caravan, and now I can manage the flow of goods! I lack it in all the planning games, for example in "Tropico". I can now move resources closer to production.
And I built a couple of barns far away and carried most of the hides, they now do not bother me, Thank you so much!

Hides being the one product that has no production cap is the exact same problem that Banished has, and it is the one reason that prevents a village from being viable without player intervention.

Exactly balancing hide production and population size is impossible. So the only way to really prevent hides from clogging up storage facilities is to have less hide production than needed for clothing production, and then it depends on luck whether or not villagers will die due to lack of clothing.

In Banished all these problems were solved by selling (barter) unwanted goods and buying a necessary goods as opportunity offers. And it is the only system (from B.), which I really lack in LFFV.

IT's the one I miss most. I'm thinking modding a rudamentary trading system (my scripting isn't yet up to the point of doing anything fancier than very basic stuff) since it doesn't sound like an official one is being worked on. It wouldn't be the kind of set and forget trading you could set up in Banished.

The problem was solved more "elegantly". I carried not only the hide, but also part of other non-liquid goods in a distant barn. And Rambo-driver can fill the barn over its scope, it can bring together all 5 barns in one.
After 3-4 years after which the game crashed, I ran it again and all the hide disappear in the barn. Then I checked: when barn is overflow and loading this save, goods, which were most of all, disappears.
