What's a trade fair?

Trying to run under vanilla settings is rather painful. People only carry 20 fruit at a time and it will take several years to move from one barn to another.
I'd use caravans but if you slate a barn to be destroyed, the pack mule can't use the destroyed barn. :')

So now that I have three years to move, what's the point of a trade fair? Why not just get stuff from a barn? People seem to do both but with how little they carry, it seems like a waste to have them if someone is only going to carry one house's worth of food at a time. Why even pick up the stuff from the barn and carry it to a trade fair.

I know they're required in Banished, but this game seems not so much. So... what do they do?

Trade fair in banished was a place where a worker would go and collect various stuff as his main job so other don't need to run around 100 barns looking for stuff he needs.

Here trade fair is just a smaller barn that looks cool thats it.

Trade Fair holds a lot more resources than the Barns and that's not modded.

Does the trade fair worker move resources between barns in this game? I'll have to check the description when I load it up again; I'm not sure what they are for much, but think the radius was small around it.

There is no vanilla trade fair worker. That's why Megadori modded it so you can choose to keep up to 3 items stocked from the barns. Unassigned workers do not keep the fair stocked and it is used like a barn if it's closer - in vanilla.

To move resources between storage buildings you have to use the caravan system. I suggest using the caravan mod as you have some control over how much is where without constant micro- management.

it doesnt. and later in the game you build castle barns anyway

Its just good looking storage unit on vanilla, nothing special. Capacity is only 4000.

Try to read what you posted, eien just thanked SinWolk and after seeing some stuff in here i'm really glad he is replying with specifics and not some "this work this way (I think but don't know) like in your posts in some places. You should removed your outdated comments, they were good at first but not now and you should have some manners to thank eien for his work for this community and support for players, this isn't a place for jealous people and yeah I meant you JUANITTA

Hi, don't you think it's a bit harsh and btw, it's offtopic and not related to previous questions? It was only a specific reply not offensive one and most important not directed at anyone so if you want to teach someone about rules and tips maybe start with making your own post abut banning people and how to avoid it? I know those rules very well and our official forum is full of non-specific misleading feedback and it's only a truth. Nothing more, nothing less. That's why I founded new forum where people can receive specific feedback when they have any problems with mods or game. It's how this world works, often people think they have knowledge based on observations but without really knowing how this game is working in code. What is written in code and what someone thinks he knows just playing are two different things. Keep that in mind.
BTW, I really don't understand why do you post things like that, care to share some light on it staying on topic to this thread?
