Tbh banished is alrewdy dead because dev never look at it again but that game is really finished i never get any crash or bug even low fps nope
For that you need to contact devs directly, you won't get answer at forum cause devs don't reply in here.
Contact details are posted at supporting group:

Banished isn't dead, dead game is when server used for game is dead and can you still play Banished? Yes, there is a difference between "dead" and "finished" game and even Banished has it's own issues (mainly when used with mods).
As far as I'm concerned, in 137 hours of playing Life is Feudal: Forest Village I didn't get any crash. Not a single one. I didn't face any major bug either, in fact not even minor ones. I don't say bugs don't exist of course, I just say I didn't notice any during my 137 hours.
About low FPS and lags, my game didn't suffer of them, but I have a good rig and I built a nice, cozy village, not a megalopolis. According to other players, it seems that huge populations can sometimes induce lags indeed. I'm about to start a new playthrough with several mods - I played vanilla until now - and my goal is to reach at least the Town achievement (500 buildings), so we'll see.
You shouldn't blindly trust every review. Some players play on weak computers with outdated drivers, other players install a bazillion of mods, including outdated and redundant ones, no wonder they get crashes. The choice of your mods is really important, because during 1 year and a half after workshop's release, the game got numerous updates. That means that among the most popular mods, a lot of them are outdated because they were created for a previous version of the game and not updated afterwards. The load order is also very important. Fortunately, some modders (like eien no shikaku) are still very active and can help you.
Is the game perfect ? No game is. Having played several city-buidling games, I can attest though that in my experience Life is Feudal: Forest Village is on par with them and is totally playable and enjoyable.
Good explanation.
The game seems to be no longer supported. The Devs have finished with supporting the game, rather than the game being finished.
They did state that they intended another patch early in the year to address bugs and optimisations, rather than add new content. However they did not do that and have not commented since.
I have since contacted them by email, and they have not replied.
So consider the game "as is" and you will not be too disappointed with expectations from future patches.
There is meaningful, well established, and continuing, mod support which enhances this games fun tremendously. Hats off to those wonderful modders who have worked hard in that respect.
You could watch a few "let's play" videos on YT. A recent and current one can be found here....

.....the bottom line is I think that the game is very much worth buying and whilst it is on sale it offers incredible value for money.
I have close to 100 hours of gameplay and if I stopped playing tomorrow I would have had more than enough value for money, even if I had paid the full price for this game.
My only hesitation would be that you have to work at it to discover its depth and potential for immense fun. It does not hold your hand, and is rather unforgiving. The tutorial is very basic and helps very little.
Whilst Steam do offer a two hours refund window this is the type of game that really needs much longer than that in my opinion to realise that potential, which it does well to hide.
I have managed a population close to 1200, whilst using plenty of mods. The CPU load at that level, rather than GPU, is pretty high when trying to run at 5x speed and above. So those planned optimisations etc would have been useful.
But there is more to this game than there is about population sizes. Similar to Cities Skylines, you can be creative and design a pretty amazing looking village without bothering about huge populations.
Give it a try, you might well be pleasantly surprised, if you are the type of player who is willing to put the effort in.
Sure, there are some bugs like in most games, but nothing gamebreaking.
And for current stats, i'm not runing it on the latest system out, and barely never had a crash, and didn't experience a special lag.
Don't forget, our pc don't become younger over monthes, so a system that run fin ... a time will not mean it's still performing the same.
Also pc's don't like the praized summertime.
Anyway, it's a great and nice game. So if you enjoyed banished, no reason you don't enjoy this one. Better graphics aren't never a bad thing, if you ask me. Also the fact you can enter houses, barns and mostly all buildings is a great feature.
Not many city builders give you the ability to *ghost* villagers, and take control over them.
Have fun and a good time !

Dev talking about Banished similarities :)
Glad to be here. Was looking for a game to scratch the Banished itch, and this appears to be it. Been playing all day today pretty much and I'm liking it a lot so far.
