a lock on food items

if you put a lock (double click on item in barn) on a food item will that only lock for villagers or can it still be used in a production chain IE: veg for the baker?

locked items are usually available for production chains. I usually lock eggs for the bakeries. I assume it works the same way for veggies.

I can't lock on item by double clicking an item. Did they take this function away?

I've put locks on food, tools, and firewood before, so villagers won't take them to their homes I think, but productions still interact with them as normal for processing it seems.

I haven't had issues with locking, but what are you trying to lock? some things might not be lockable because there's no point? and dumb question but are you double clicking fast enough?

Items can only be locked in the village info panel not in barns. DB click that item and small lock appears. Villagers will nolonger take that food item from Barns only food production places like Bakery windmill. When you lock fish villagers will nolonger eat fish . sometimes I have to DB click it several times before the lock appears.
