How do I get more Hay?
I'm in year 10 currently building a healer's house which takes a very large load off my mind. And I'm making plans to build a school to educate the muppets but I need a sustainable supply of hay and it's becoming more spread out. Is there anyway I can take grass and make it?

Also I've been building houses and upgrading them to improved shack and I have 29 people I try to keep the combined child/teenager count to a quarter or less of my total adult count and I'm wondering is that a good metric, should I measure it differently? Currently I'm overflowing with food (potatoes) and I'm trying to find ways to diversify my food portfolio but I feel I am far from ready for trading.

Hay = Grass. Grow it in a field. I always plop down a 10 x 10 field for grass before late spring 1st yr. You get 256 if I remember right per planting.

I control pop growth by building one new house every year. By the time I reach pop. 60 the village is completely self sustaining with about 4 slackers running lose to replace the ones that die. If the stone mine didn't dry up it would run forever.

long term hay supply. Build a Market and a Caravan stable. trade veggie's for Hay, 4k Veggie= 32k Hay for trade at the market.

yeah that healers house is a real resource and labor suck. I am thinking of starting game over and using some of the small building mods (grinding stone, little barn, little healer, little stable).
