Is there compatability with Godot?
I am aware this program specializes in production of maps for games like Half-life and Quake. However, I was wondering if there is a way to export maps to Godot. If so, is it possible just to export a scene, or lightning and scripting may be exported as well?

Thank you. Please excuse me if the question seems "naive" or "stupid": I am only beginning to learn 3D modelling and I am testing the grounds of possibilities. I would love to create authentic to Quake maps and use them with modern game engines.

Not as like a native plugin or anything, no. There's a thing called Qodot, which is a Godot plugin that adds support for importing Quake map files. If you use that, you could create levels with J.A.C.K., export to MAP and then use Qodot to load them. I haven't used Qodot myself, so I'm not sure how well it works, but you can definitely give that a shot.

Thank you so much for the pointer! I will check Qodot. "Somewhat possible" is absolutely great news!

I just want to point out there is another way you can use JACK with Godot engine. You can export as .OBJ from the file menu and then import it into Godot Engine or any engine really.

As long as you have set certain faces that the player wont see to not be drawn you should be good performance wise in your game project. :)

Thank you very much! I am very happy to find out about all these opportunities!
