How can I get a .bsp and .pk3?

I want to use your editor to quickly create maps using my own textures and spit out a .bsp and .pk3.

I have figured out how to take the .map and compile it to create a .bsp. Well, only in Half-Life, since this is the only game I have. I Created a Quake 3 configuration without textures, but I cannot compile to create a .bsp.

I have not figured out how to create a .pk3.

My end goal is to load these two files into Clickteam Fusion 2.5 Firefly exporter and create my own FPS engine (using Firefly and J.A.C.K. to edit maps).

I am currently Mapping using a pixel drawing and reading it to populate nodes into the engine.

I am still learning the J.A.C.K. capabilities, but I am using it for other than Half-Life and Quake (I, II, III) ... etc.

My other options without J.A.C.K. would end up being Blender, pixel map, math formula... etc. But I want a nice editor like J.A.C.K

Edit: I do not have a complete understanding of .bsp and .pk3 so I may be missing something major. I have been able to use an already made .bsp and .pk3 file that I downloaded as an example (took a .pk3, opened it up by doing .zip and taking a .bsp out) and I am able to load it into Firefly and have an entire Map with textures loaded. I load the resource package .pk3 to the fusion firefly engine and load .bsp to an OctTree Static mesh.

Edit 2: I tried following this to make a .pk3. Didn't work for loading into Firefly - I know I am missing something crucial to the .pk3 (like textures).

I think I got it to work I need to test but the pk3 is pretty much file listing so if I use texture x I need to dump it into textures folder in the pk3

Edit: Nope, having a hard time figuring how to output files to use. I dont think I am creating and compiling the .bsp correctly.

Ok so I figured out how to create a wad3 (using wally) to use in jack to load my own textures.

I dont think I am compiling the .map correctly to get the .bsp

I still need to then figure out how to "link" textures (outside jack) to the .bsp by creating a .pk3. I figured out how to make a .pk3 easily (zip file or PakScape)

These are the last two steps and I am set.

Either that or wait for exporting to .obj (will the textures be in a .mtl ? or UV wrap on an image file such as .png?)
