Gargoyle codex entry?

I can sneak past him, but sneaking past him doesn't give you the codex entry, and typically weapons just clang off of him. I've done everything else there is to be done and I *think* I've been to his room with all 9 scrolls, to no avail.

How can you make the dude killable?

Try using a vial of hogweed essence, which destroys stone based creatures.
You can get this in the citadel kitchen, by claiming to do an inspection & searching the cupboards.
It should insta-win against the gargoyle for a codex entry.

Ah, that did it, thanks! I think I even saw that item on a previous run, but it says that it "repels" stone-based creatures so I assumed it would also just be a non-Codex way of getting through the room...
