Generally fun but if you're new to the series it's probably better to just read the wiki. You can accidentally do stuff to screw yourself over that isn't completely intuitive early-on. (Ex: Cutting down the trees around a vagrant camp/the trader wagon too early). Other than that it's pretty fun, definitely worth it on sale.

This game crawled so that two crowns 👑 👑 can run.

The "gameplay" flows like an idle game. You sit and do nothing while invisible meters fill up. The "gameplay" makes no sense and it is easy to box yourself into a corner and die. Literally nothing is explained in game. I could not find a manual anywhere. Buildings upgrade and break what worked previously. The "level design" is just randomly generated items placed around the landscape. The user interface is awful. This game hides its crappy mechanics behind a wall of pixels and pretends to be great. I have no idea why people in this modern age, with so many options for entertainment, continue to play and make games like this. I wish I had bought this directly from steam so I could get a refund.

Surprisingly challenging. Each run the placement of structures changes, which forces you to come up with new strategies each time. I will say sometimes the AI of the npcs are REALLY irritating, and potentially run ending. If you set off the ship , for example, the builders and archers will ignore all tasks and all chase it, even if it means running to their deaths. It's avoidable if you know it happens, but if you don't, or maybe forget... it's definitely a run ender. Still- very much recommend.
