Winter ending

When does winter end? Once I get to about day 20, everything freezes up and I make no money. When does it end???

they dont. im pretty sure you have to make the boat before winter. Thanks anyways

Winter is 15 days. During the snow farms do work but their coverage area is reduced to 2 plots (ie enough space for 2 farmers assuming no obstacles). You will see the newly unemployed farmers (those in excess of 2) throwing their sickles into the river.

i'm on day 70, on the 3 island and winter still here xD but farmers make money so no probleme xD

My winter started around day 15/20 and now I'm at 96 (going for the last achievement:p) and it's STILL winter! Is it just endless?

I don't think winter ever ends. Longest I survived was day 106 on island #3 ...got spammed by a horde of giant green blobs at which point I ran for my boat

Day 80+ on island 2 (for the 100 day achievement). So far I think winter is endless once it began. You REALLY have to set up your farms and farmers BEFORE winter starts. Otherwise you will gain no income.

4th island, run away at 104th day - winter still was there since about day 40th.

It got worse after 90th day - at that time ALL farmers abandoned their farms so I could count only on the banker, but he wasn't showing too often - only after defeating all the night creatures. But fliers were arriving late and my archers were shooting them the whole day, in conclusion - banker appeared only after the bloodmoon.

I think you don't get winter unless you build farms. I have not bothered with farms for a long time as the hunters usually get me by. I had not experienced a single winter since original Kingdom, and thought they had been dropped. Today was the first time in New Lands that I built a farm, and a couple days later winter started.

On the first island during Winter my farmers left their farms and came back to the castle and then dropped their tools for some reason

I'm on day 62. It's been winter since around day 15. My farms haven't produced anything since and there are no animals to hunt.

I feel like this needs to be looked into.

I have to concur. I like the idea of winter being a lean season, but I do not like it being eternal. Honestly, since you cannot have an unlimited amount of gold having Winter being eternal makes little sense to me. I would appreciate at least having an option for winter coming and going (perhaps with having different seasons with it). This isn't a game killer, I learned a few things my first winter game, but still, I implore the devs to adjust this mechanic.

So I'm basically f****d because I'm on the first island and apparently winter does not end on the first island, now I have to save up on the little money I get from the taxpayer everyday and build the ship before the hordes get too big for me.
