Castle upgrade past wood wall not possible?

Hey there, dont know if i'm doing anything wrong. Started a new game, upgrade a whole lot and after i upgraded the main hall to that stage that in the background the wooden wall is build, i cant upgrade it higher. Because of that i get no stone walls and after ~15 day's the enemies eat me wooden walls with no problem. :/ Have i overlooked something?

If the first game is more like "go out build the ship and make it to the next island fast as possible, to get better buildings". I fear i have to take my refund, because i dont like rushing and an slow builder and in that turn the game is nothing what i will enjoy. :(

To get stone buildings you need to upgrade the wood shrine in the forest to a stone shrine, just like in the original Kingdom.

It was removed from the first island, every other island should have one though.

It sounds like you are on the first island, there is no stone shrine on island #1 (you can't unlock stone technology). The first couple of islands are essentially an introduction to the basic mechanics, more mechanics are added as you progress through the islands.

So island #1 is just an introduction to building and defending a primitive wooden fort, stone is introduced on the next island (as well as portals, shrines, knights, mounts etc).

well on the first one (on a new game) i got the shrine there and then i got to island 3 and sailed back to island one this time there was no shrine. i can only just sail with 2 solders instead of 3 on island one like before so i think that is the reason

I've been so confused because I played kingdom classic and couldn't find certain things, but I didn't want to go to a new island without getting certain upgrades like stone xD. Guess I just should've moved on to the next island sooner so I could find those other things :P.
