Knights running away?
So I had two knights on a wall that I had just expanded forward. the barricade was still wood (My workers decided to repair the existing wall, and move the catapult before building the new wall so I barely got it done) and was destroyed.

My knights, who decided to stand just behind the wooden barricade, also decided that the moment the wall fell, they should retreat ALL the way back to my castle and just stand there. the wall was a bit forward so without the knights to hold the line I lost ALL my archers.

They run off and take 80% of your archers with them? why would you ever pay for knights? I killed them off and my defenses were STRONGER without them...

In kingdom classic they at least stood to hold the line for a few extra seconds to give your archers a chance to clean up, why spend 6 coins on a guy that just runs away and gets all your defenses killed?

he's really the only thing + archers that can stand a chance against portals

Well sure but should hiring a knight Before rushing down the portal, really do so much damage to your ability to defend? he takes a group of my already working archers, and makes them flee with him.. stopping them from shooting and just getting chased down and attacked anyway.. This HAS to be a bug right? there's no reason from a development standpoint to have a unit with NEGATIVE impact on defending yourself.. even if it's only meant to attack shouldn't it just do nothing on defense instead of actively pulling defensive archers away from the fight?

the knights run because they dont want to die, yeah they should get a hit in while the greed comes but if the wall is crumbling away why stay? Not a bug-the main draw for them is portals, but if you wanted them to be more useful before then activate the Knight statue and they jump in for a huge stab every few seconds.

It's not that the Knights run when the wall crumbles that bothers me. It's that they run BEFORE the wall breaks, and they take 4 ish archers with them at best. Leaving the rest of your archers to certain death

They retreat to the next wall to save themselves and their Bowmen. 99% of the time, if a wall falls, then the enemy has an overwheling numerical advantage and will likely have no problem dealing with a couple knights and their Bowmen if they break through. If you expand and don't or can't get the wall upgraded more, then that's a you issue, not a game issue.

I guess. It's just really annoying when It's clear I would win an encounter, only to have my guys try to run away and die due to lack of fighting..
